It was formed in 1999. 

Today 6 regular lecturers work at the subdepartment, four of whom have the scientific degree of the candidate of law sciences.

The lecturers ensure the training process in such disciplines as “judicial system”, “criminal law”, “criminal process”, “criminology”, “criminology”, “prosecutor supervision” and other.

The subdepartment is letting out in the specialization “forensic prosecutors and investigative activities”. Since 2003 the training in “the organization of the activity of the law-enforcement agencies of Republic of Belarus' against the human traffic” has been organised.

The magistracy and also graduate study function in the following specialties:

• 12.00.08 - criminal law and criminology; criminal- executive law;

The lecturers of the subdepartment have recently defended 4 candidate theses.

The students are got involved in the research work, many of them are the members of the scientific group in criminology organized in 2007.

The subdepartment of criminal law and process has close scientific connections with BGU, academy MVD of  Republic of  Belarus' and other institutions and also industrial communication with the law-enforcement agencies of Gomel region.

Professors:

Emelyanov Sergey Leonidovich

Emelyanov Sergey Leonidovich graduated from Gomel State University in 1996 qualified as a layer. In 2001 he completed postgraduate studies in BSU.

Emelyanov S.L. supervisors master’s thesis, has developed academic programs for held courses, controls updating of the contents of academic programs, annually develops the themes of course and graduation works. Emelyanov S.L. is a member of the Law Faculty Council and University Council.

Tsykunova Irina Nikolaevna

Tsykunova Irina Nikolaevna graduated fromGomelStateUniversity, from 2000 to 2002 took a course of postgraduate studies ofGomelStateUniversity. In 2011 Tsykunova I.N. underwent theoretical teaching and testing under the program in accordance with MS ISO 19011:2002; MS ISO 9001:2008 Internal Audit of the Quality Management System.

Tsykunova I.N. supervises Master’s theses, developed academic programmes for held courses. Supervises updates of the contents of academic programmes, annual development of themes of course and graduate papers. A member of the Law Faculty Council, is an internal auditor of the university.

The subdepartment was formed in 1994 as the first specialized subdepartment of the law department.

The basic task of department is training highly professional specialists, who possess critical relation to the work and the call of duty, that posses the modern methods of systems approach to understanding of social and state- law reality, that have the skills of  and the practical application of the scientific information, capable of the creative approach to work and problem-solving.

The faculty was formed, mainly, from the highly professional specialists, who have academic rank and academic degrees. 

The subdepartment ensures the training in two specializations “organization and activity of state authorities” and “the law profession and notarial system”. Experienced practical workers are assigned to the training process , which leads to the classical combination of theory and law practice. Scientific and academic work is actively well conducted.

Basic courses given by the faculty are: “General theory of state and law”; “The history of state and law of Belarus'”; “The history of state and law of the foreign countries”; “The history of political and law studies”; “Constitutional law of Republic of Belarus”; “Political law of the foreign countries”; “International law”; “Administrative law”; “Finance law”; “Tax law”; “Official law” and others.

The faculty does the scientific research in: “Law guarantee of steady development of Republic of Belarus”. The students of the Law Department are got involved in the research; they take part in the work of the scientific group of the department “International law”.

Three theses in law sciences have been recently successfully defended.

Professors:

Nemkevich Igor Viktorovich

Nemkevich Igor Viktorovich has been working since opening of the faculty and is a diligent employee respected by other employees of the university, faculty and students. 

Supervises updates of the contents of academic programs, annually develops the themes of course and graduation papers. Published more than 60 scientific works, including publications in journals reviewed by the Higher Attestation Commission of theRepublicofBelarus. Nemkevich I.V. actively takes part in international and republican conferences.

Takes an active part in international and republican conferences. 

Courses held by Mozhaeva L.E. are supplies with academic programs and practical guides, lectures are published. The contents of academic programs is regularly updated, themes of course and graduating works are developed annually.

Under supervision of Mozhaeva L.E. students take an active part in scientific researches.

Takes an active part in international and republican conferences. 

Usova E.I. has a high level of qualification, theoretical and practical knowledge of latest developments of national and foreign legal sciences.

Senkova Tatyana Vladimirovna

In 2013 Senkova T.V. completed postgraduate studies in GSU at the extra-mural department of the Law Faculty under specialty 12.00.14 “Administrative, Finance and Information Law”.

Senkova T.V. actively participates in international and republican conferences, demonstrates a high degree of professionalism delivering lectures and giving classes, using brand new methods and principles.

During his work at the department Grahotskiy Aleksandr Pavlovich gained a reputation of an initiative and diligent employee. Classes held by Grahotskiy A.P. correspond to the methodological requirements of higher education institutions and are interesting for students. He uses various methods during his lectures and seminars. Grahotskiy A.P. successfully supervises course and graduation works, involves students in researches. 

In January 2014 Grahotskiy A.P. defended his thesis in Legal Sciences. By resolution of the Council of Higher Attestation Commission of theRepublicofBelarushe was awarded with the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences. Published more than 40 scientific works.

Two specializations “Law guarantee of business” and “Tax and Bank Law” are opened at the department.

 The following disciplines are taught at the department: “Civil Law”, “Employment Law”, “Social Security Law”, “Civil Process”, “Economic Law”, “Economic Process”, “Family Law”, “International Private Law”, “Agrarian Law”, “Ecological Law”, “Land Law” and others. 

The special courses are developed and are read by the lecturersof the subdepartment: “Notarial System”, “Law position of banks and non-bank credit and financial organizations”, “Law regulation of the realization of bank operations”, “Customs Law”, “Tax Law” and other. The subdepartment ensures training process at the Economic Department in civil law, economic law, private law of the foreign countries, international private law, law regulation of external economic activity and others.

The training of graduates and undergraduates is organized at the basis of the subdepartment in civil law; family law; business law; international private law.

The lecturers of the subdepartment do active research work connected with the problems of the law regulation of the mortgage landing, export transactions; responsibility of the labor legislation, family law relationship and others. More than 200 scientific and methodical works have been published during the last five years.

The subdepartment collaborates with the research teams of the Civil Law Department of  Belorussian State University, department of the civil liberty of Belorussian state economic university, the Civil Law and Civil Process Department of Grodno State University and others.

There are four subdepartments:

 - the subdepartment of theory and history of state and law was formed in September 1,1995 

 - the subdepartment of civil- law disciplines has been opened since February 15,1999

 - the subdepartment of criminal law and process was formed on the basis of the department of jurisprudence in 1999 

 - the subdepartment of political sociology has been a part of the law department since September 1, 2004 

 - the office of the information in normative law;

 - the office of criminology;

 - the office of the methodology of state and law;
