Highly-effective modifying addition to abrasive polishing suspension
It is meant to be added into a working suspension based on
abrasive polishing powders at the stage of optic and electronic products
polishing. In particular, it is added to a working suspension based on Al2O3
at the stage of two-side polishing of mono-crystal silicon plates. The use of the addition will minimize scratches
produced by intensive lift of the material while polishing the products, and
it will increase the speed of the material removal with the use of a smaller
quantity of an abrasive powder. Addition expenditure for 12 liters of a
working suspension is 100-120 ml or 90-100 gr. It is a specially composed mixture based
on colloid silicon dioxide and surface-active substances. It is a half
transparent liquid without any visible mechanical inclusions. Polishing
suspension is bottled into plastic vessels from 5 to 50 liters. It has been
found that the modifying addition preserves its qualities for six months
