TECHNOLOGY OF TITAN ALLOYED DIAMOND-LIKE COVERS

It is used to strengthen small-sized instruments, calibers, stamps, filiers.

Technology peculiarities

There has been developed technology of putting titan alloyed diamond-like covers. Such covers are formed by a complex method, combining both simultaneous setting of carbon layers with the help of impulse vacuum-arc charge, and alloying metal atoms from ionizing streams. Cover hardness and the module of their elasticity depend on metal concentration in a cover.

Advantages and technical characteristics

The plotting of wear-resistant coatings on the basis of ñarboneum on working surfaces of dies of cutting down and edging of integral chips augments their stability in 3-4 times (resource constitutes up to 90-120 thousand instruments). The economic efficiency consists also in cutting on 75 % of an amount of repairs, practical absence of a wear of working surfaces during normative maintenance of equipment. At holding trials on the "Integral" (Minsk) the annual economic benefit at the expense of increase of a resource of equipment has constituted 65 thousand US dollars.

Main technical characteristics

·     cover thickness up to 2mkm;

·     titan part up to 50 vol. %;

·     there are no exfoliations after 10000 cycles of wear;

·     under different vacuum metal filling coefficient of dry friction can vary from 0.1 to 1.4;

·     ecologically safe standard equipment is used to produce the cover.

The technology is a team-work of the Educational establishment “Gomel Francisk Skorina state university” and the Educational establishment “Belarus university of transport”.
