High-clean silica gel


Silica gel is one of the most widely used supports due to its high thermal, chemical and mechanical stability in comparison with other organic and non-organic supports. That favorably differs the silica gel from other sorbents, moreover the silica gel is characterized by high speed of mass exchange,  is exposed to swelling to a lesser extent, and in some cases is determined by hydrolytic stability. Structural characteristics of silica gel (size of specific surface, diameter and pore size, particles size) can be changed in wide range.

Sol-gel technology of manufacturing of high-clean silica gel on the basis of pyrogen silicon dioxide has been worked out. The developed technology gives an opportunity to produce silica gel with particles size up to 0.5-4mm without using special grinding equipment. The given silica gel can be used in production of display tubes which show the presence of organic and non-organic admixtures in analytical chemistry, for chromatographic columns filling, liquid and gas dehydration, may be useful in fragrance industry, etc.

 

Performance attributes of silica gel:
1. Form – powder or granules of white color.

2. Granules size – 0.1-4 mm.

3. Specific surface area of samples -250-350 м2/г

4. Density- 0,5 г/см3

5. Admixture content (Fe, Al, Na) 10-3 масс %

6. Thermal resistance  – 0 - 900 0С

7. Sorptive capacity 0,8 - 1,2 millimole экв/г

8. Guiding price $40 /kg
