Physics bordering on fantasy
October 26, 2017

Invisible articles, super slim telephones and photo cameras, unique sensors retaining the thinnest particles and doses of the specified materials… You can say “It’s fantastic!” But the scientist will object: “It’s reality!”

And impossible is nothing when we speak about nano materials – a new form of a material created in a modern scientific laboratory.

Sergey Tretyakov, Professor of Aalto University has been working with the properties of nano materials for more than 30 years. He started his investigations at Leningrad polytechnic university in Saint Petersburg and continued in Finland – the country of innovations.

“While the notion of nano materials was not officially recognized, the investigations of their unlimited potential were in full play at the laboratory of complex electromagnetic environment that I had established”.

During his visit to GSU Professor Tretyakov delivered a lecture for the students of GSU Faculty of Physics and information technologies on October 26. He explained the essence of meta materials and further scientific breakthroughs in XXI century.
