The Department of Finance and Accounting at Silesian University, School of Business Administration in Karvina held a traditional meeting of academic and business professionals in the area of finance and banking on October 11 – 13, 2017. This year particular attention was paid to the rethinking risk in financial markets and institutions. The programme was organized within the frame of the EU project MOST intended to provide establishing and extending of professional contacts.

The representative from Francisk Skorina Gomel State University – Dean of the Faculty of Economics Andrey Kostenko took part in the 16th International conference on finance and banking “Rethinking Risk in Financial Markets and Institutions” (Ostrawa, Czech Republic) and delivered his report “Financial stability increase during economic cycle growth stage in the Republic of Belarus”. The scholars from France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Czech, Hungary, Romania, Turkey and the USA took part in the conference. The conference included not only delivery of a scientific report, but also a live discussion of the colleagues’ papers and further recommendations for further improvement of the perspective academic publications.
