Within the framework of international conference “Skorina and the presence” the faculty of Philology hosted the opening ceremony of Skorina classroom at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The guests from Belarus, Russia, Poland and the Ukraine took part in it. They congratulated the lecturers, staff members and students on this prominent event in life of our educational institution.

This classroom is intended to be a succession of development and formation of Skorina’s traditions that have been lasting since the day our University was named in honor of the first Belarusian scholar and publisher Francisk Skorina. Moreover, the classroom is supposed to attract the students’ attention to the traditions and ideas of this remarkable humanist.
