A certified mediator of Supreme Court, Professor of Campbell University (USA), Nobel Peace Prize laureate Frank Layne visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The purpose of his visit was focused on the decision to share his experience in the sphere of mediation with the students and the lecturers of our University.

“Every person can face arguments and disagreements. And at any situation he can reckon upon efficiency and productivity of mediation methods”, the specialist stated.

Frank Layne delivered a lecture for the students and the lecturers of the Law Faculty and the Faculty of Economics concerning the issues of mediation as an alternative way of problem resolution. He focused on the essence of the mediator’s work during the process of a dispute settlement, introduced a number of contemporary approaches and instruments for dispute resolutions and the innovation forms designed for peaceful settlement of conflicts at the terms of the USA.
