Student training “Physics” was hosted the Institute of Industrial Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering of Riga Technical University from September 25 to October 6, 2017. It was organized within the frame of ERASMUS+ programme and the project “Improvement of master level education in the field of physical sciences in Belarusian universities” – acronym “Physics”. The training was attended by the undergraduate students and Master’s degree students from Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Belarusian State University and Belarusian State Technical University. The training was attended by the representatives of our University: Master’s degree students of the Faculty of Physics and Information technologies E.V. Garmilin and A.Y. Kravchenko, and the students I.S. Mikhalko, A.V. Buzhan, A.I. Tolkachev and Associate professor of the Department of theoretical physics O.M. Deruzhkova. The attendees were invited to the academic and research laboratories of the Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering of RTU, visited the National Library of Latvia and the largest municipal solid waste landfill in the Baltic States Getlini EKO. The project was completed with the project presentations of the participants; afterwards the winners were awarded prizes.
