The biggest EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020 was signed on September 26 by Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of Polish Academy of Sciences (Wroclaw, Poland). Members of a delegation Doctor Maria Luisa Saladino, Professor of Palermo University and the representatives of the Institute – Professor Wieslaw Strenk and Doctor Dariusz Hreniak – came to GSU for the purpose of execution of the agreement. This project is executed within the framework of the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020, is the financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union, a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness. GSU is one of six equal partners. The consortium includes Universities, research centers and organizations from Germany, Poland, Lithuania and the Ukraine. As Head of the Advanced Materials Research Laboratory Vladimir Gaishun stated, this project is oriented to development of new technologies in the sphere of obtaining ferrites with sol-gel methods. Programme Horizon 2020 includes realization of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, intended to support of young researchers and raising their academic mobility. Within the framework of the official visit to Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Professor Strenk, Doctor Hreniak and Doctor Saladino started a lecture course at the Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies.
