Post-graduate student of GSU Department of radio physics and electronics (Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies) Igor Fanyaev became Ph.D. in physics. He presented a thesis “Development and production of functional spiral-based metasurfaces” at Shizuoka University (Japan). His scientific supervisors were Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Igor Semchenko (Belarus) and Professor Vigantas Mizeikis (Japan). This post-graduate traineeship at the prestigious university was organized due to strong partnership between Gomel and Japanese higher educational institutions developing within the framework of the association “Inter-Academy”. GSU graduates Roman Bekarevich (scientific supervisors – Professor A.V. Rogachev and Professor Masaaki Nagatsu) and Alexey Balmakov (scientific supervisors – Professor I.V. Semchenko and Professor Masaaki Nagatsu) had traineeship on Double Degree Program - Philosophy Doctor (PhD) in Japan and PhD in Belarus.
