On September 19 the representatives of American Association for the Advancement of Science gave open lectures to the students of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics.

Dana Lovetrend, Professor of Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, an international expert, delivered a lecture “Preventive measures and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorders”. Professor Daniel Lovetrend, Doctor of Medicine and leading expert of Pennsylvania Hospital gave a lecture “Critical thinking for a social sphere specialist”. Tammy Middleton, Doctor of Philosophy, businessman, member of board of directors in a number of health system establishments gave a lecture “Role of book printing in human history”.

These lectures were followed by a seminar where GSU scholars and their American colleagues discussed relevant scientific topics.

This event coincided with the Year of Science 2017 and 500th anniversary of book printing in Belarus.
