“We were afraid of misunderstandings and worried about communication failures, we doubted that we could feel out in the cold. But our fears haven't panned out”, said the students from Germany, attendees of the International summer school.

These days the project financed by DAAD successfully completed its two weeks’ work. Cooperation with University administration, lecturers and volunteer students offered positive vibes during the journey of German students across Gomel region. These days were filled with informative lectures and seminars, visits to enterprises and organizations, walks through the city and catching guided tours across the most fascinating sites of Belarus.

“We couldn’t even imagine how eventful and bright may our journey be! We have managed to get not only qualitative ecological knowledge, but also a plenty of pleasure from Russian language and Belarusian culture studies. We are charmed by abounding ethnic cuisine – draniki, borsch, solyanka, dumplings!”

Each attendee was awarded an official Certificate of Training and souvenirs – GSU branded t-shirts.

As the Summer school coordinator Alexander Grahotsky stated, this inaugural project proved its tenability and promising outlook and became a right framework for future development of international programs.
