FRANCISK SKORINA GOMEL STATE UNIVERSITY INCREASES COLLABORATION WITH TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS OF INDIA

A representative of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Professor Ananda Hanna visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on August 15, 2017.

The meeting with the Vice-rector for academic affairs Professor Igor. V. Semchenko and the Head of GSU Research Physics and Chemistry School Aleksandr. V. Rogachev involved discussions on the issues of Belarusian-Indian cooperation within the terms of the agreement with Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research “Process of formation of multilayer composite thin film systems with protective hydrophobic coating for optoelectronic industry application and in solar cells”.

The dialogue addressed the issues of academic mobility for the post-graduate and master students from Belarusian and Indian Universities, the opportunities for sharing of implementation experiences in the sphere of fundamental research and undertaking joint studies.

“Gomel State University has successful experience in cooperation with tertiary institutions of India. We would be glad to arrange the programmes of academic mobility in concert with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay”, Professor Semchenko said.

Professor Ananda Hanna visited the scientific laboratories at the Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies, where he got an insight into the broad options of our University within the scientific research system. Professor Hanna has scheduled a lecture on physics for the scholars of Gomel State University.
