A kick-off working meeting dedicated to implementation of the international project «ELA» was held in Moscow State Pedagogical University from February 2, 2017 till February 4, 2017. Head of International Affairs Department Alexander Grahotsky and Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics Vladislav Bejzerov represented Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

The scientific research project «Introducing modules on law and rights in programmes of teacher training and educational sciences: a contribution to building rights-based education systems in countries in transition» is implemented within the framework of Erasmus+ project. The international consortium embraces 12 partner universities of Belarus, Russia, Belgium, Lithuania, Poland, Albania. Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and Belarusian State University named after M.Tank participate in the project from Belarusian side.

The representatives of all partner organizations participated in the meeting. The agenda included issues dedicated to development and distribution of primary tasks and forms of cooperation within the framework of ELA project, as well as exchange of experience between the consortium members.

Close cooperation in the fields of law and pedagogy, as well as involvement of experts in cross-disciplinary problems, is presupposed within the framework of the project implementation.

ELA is one of the 3 approved projects implemented by Francisk Skorina Gomel State University which received financing from the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in 2016. Among 736 applications submitted to EACEA in 2016 only 147 of them were accepted. Implementation of such international projects as FOSTERC (Fostering Competencies Development in Belarusian Higher Education) and «Fostering professional self-determination and development of students` carrier in Ukraine and Belarus through creating trans-border regional network of Centres of professional orientation, planning and carrier development» was initiated in GSU in 2016 as well.
