PhD programme student of the Department of Theoretical Physics S.I. Fialka undertook a 6-month internship within the framework of international programme «Albatross» in Slovak Technological University of Bratislava (STUBA) for the period from October 8, 2016 till March 31, 2017. In the course of his internship S.I.Fialka got acquainted with a whole range of scientific laboratories, was engaged in theoretical and experimental researches in the field of photonic crystals and proceeds with his thesis. The study curriculum is agreed upon by both supervisors – Dr. Martin Weis (from Slovak University) and associate professor of Department of Theoretical Physics V.N. Kapshaj (from Francisk Skorina Gomel State University). The internship research results were presented at the VI Republican scientific conference «Modern Issues of Physics and Technics» (was held on April 26, 2017 in Gomel).
