On April 18, 2017 graduate of the Faculty of Law of our University Konstantin Degtyarev, currently – Doctor of Law of University of Liverpool – gave a lecture to first-year students on the topic «European Systems of Human Rights Protection». The researcher spoke about one of the oldest regional organizations established in 1949 – Council of Europe aiming at human rights protection. The most relevant issues of implementation and protection of separate rights and freedoms, peculiarities of interpretation and application of European convention standards were discussed. The students learnt about principles of human rights protection system and its peculiarities.
