From 25 to 28 June the International Scientific Conference "Teaching the Holocaust: Time, Place, Relevance" was held in Jerusalem (Israel). This scientific forum, organized by the International Educational Center Yad Vashem gathered 358 scientists from more than 50 countries. Francisk Skorina Gomel State University lecturers – Head of the department of general history S.A. Cherepko and the senior lecturer of the department of history of Belarus A.D. Lebedev took part in the forum.

The conference was focused on the issues of the study of the Holocaust period in general and its separate aspects in particular. This international forum has become an important step in the formation of a consolidated position of scholars from different countries in the study and teaching of the Holocaust issues as one of the most tragic aspects of the Second World War.
