Representatives of the British Council in Ukraine Zhanna Sevastianova and Simon Etherton visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on May 30, 2018. The meeting with Rector of the University Sergei Khakhomov was devoted to cooperation within the sector of English language studies and establishment of new projects in the area of foreign language competence among the students and University lectures.

The parties have agreed upon broadening of cooperation between the countries, establishment of joint projects on English language studies and implementation of language programmes based on syllabi of British methodological centers.

The meeting of the foreign delegation with the Dean of the Faculty of foreign languages Elena Sazhina and Head of the Department of English language Tatiana Pochinok was focused on the perspectives of organization of English language clubs coordinated by the lecturers of the Faculty and the specialists of the British Council in close cooperation with the clubs from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
