International project seminar “Fostering Competencies Development in Belarusian Higher Education” was organized at the University of Bialystok within the frames of ERASMUS+ programme on April 24 – 26, 2018. The representatives of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus, 5 foreign and 11 Belarusian higher education establishments took part in it.

The representatives of GSU – specialist of the International Affairs Department Anastasia Konopleva, Associate professor of the Department of social and pedagogical psychology Julia Shevtsova and Associate professor of the Department of Psychology Elena Koshman – took part in the work of the seminar.

The meeting was devoted to discussion of the current issues of development of competence approach within the unity of European and Belarusian experience. The participants got acquainted with the best pedagogical practices in realization of the competence approach in the countries of Europe, studied productive ideas and scientific and methodological constructions in pedagogical practices of Europe and defined the opportunities of their application for the educational process development within the University on the basis of competence approach.
