Vice-rector for academic affairs Igor V. Semchenko took part in the activities organized within the frames of the visit to Poland (the 4th European Congress of Local Governments at the Congress Center “ICE Krakov”).

Professor Semchenko participated in discussion of the themes “Partnership of the state and business as a way to successful investments in the region”, “Local magnetism – hot to develop cities and regions”; took part in negotiations with the representatives of Jagiellonian University on the issues of further cooperation within the frames of the existing agreements and attended a meeting at the Chamber of commerce & industry with President of the Chamber Sebastian Khvedetsko.

The next part of the visit was devoted to the meeting in Warsaw with Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Poland A.K. Averyanov and the Embassy employees.

The meeting resulted in preliminary agreements aiming at development of international cooperation between GSU and Universities of Poland and promote cooperation with Jagiellonian University and University of Zielona Gora.
