An offsite meeting of the branch of the Department of mathematical issues of management and informatics was held in order to enhance special training of the graduates of the Faculty of mathematics and programming technologies.

The meeting took place in the premises of the leading IT enterprise of Gomel region IBA-Gomel-Park where the educational and on-the-job trainings for the students are organized. The meeting was attended by the chief specialists on prospective IT areas providing practical development of software within the frames of international projects and agreements.

The participants of the meeting confirmed the fact of necessity to enroll and train the specialist on theoretical informatics; they discussed the expediency of high qualification specialists’ training on the speciality “Theory of informatics” fulfilled at the university since 2017.

During the meeting the participants discussed the issues of new courses for the students of IT specialities on artificial neural networks, materials on the discipline “Computer-assisted teaching” and “Fundamentals of theoretical robotechnics”. They considered questions of specialized training for the students during their on-the-job trainings, additional classes devoted to CV composition and interviews with prospective employers, and coordinated the issues of establishment and organization of specialized seminars for senior pupils.

It is generally agreed that these measures will contribute to the conditions for additional enrollment of students, broadening of the opportunities for practical assistance at the stage of preliminary placement of the students.
