Republican festival “Mogilev – the youth capital-2018” was held on February 8 and 9 in Mogilev. The festive event was attended by the local authorities, leaders of the youth organizations, young specialists, researches, and laureates of international contests – students of higher educational institutions and the creative youth of Mogilev. Francisk Skorina Gomel State University was represented by Vice-rector for education Yuri V. Nikityuk and the group of the students’ body: Anastasia Tarasenko (Faculty of Economy), Elena Pilkevich (Faculty of psychology and pedagogy) and Kirill Kopertekhov (Faculty of physics and information technologies).

In accordance with the results of the Republican competition Mogilev became the youth capital in 2018. During this year the city gets an opportunity to demonstrate its creative and cultural potential.

It is the third contest “The youth capital of Belarus”. The first laureates of it were Baranovichi and Polotsk. The competition is organized and encouraged by the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus.
