International law contest

Team of the Law faculty has successfully represented Gomel State University at The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition - The 2018 Belarusian Rounds of the Jessup Competition. This is one of the most prominent contests on international law held among the students of the law faculties all over the world. In accordance with official statistics, more than 550 universities from 80 countries take part in it. The contest is held in terms of court proceedings of International Court of Justice in English. Each team presents a memorandum in written form on the given issue and delivers a speech on both positions.

GSU team of law students came 5th of 15 at the national stage of Philip C. Jessup Cup in the Republic of Belarus. Our students received recognition from the jury and got Sorainen Premier Award – symbol of the most successful debut among the teams participating in Jessup.
