Visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of French Republic in the Republic of Belarus Didier Caness to Francisk Skorina Gomel State was organized on February 14.

As the honourable guest mentioned, the aim of the meeting with Rector Khakhomov S.A. was to discuss perspectives of cooperation in the field of higher education.

The University staff members asked Mr. Caness to assist in dealing with the question concerning further existence of French-Belarusian Institute. Its activities were suspended due to circumstances beyond our control.

The programme of visit comprised two days and presupposed visit to Gomel gymnasium № 46 named after Blesse Pascal, Free Economic Zone «Gomel-Raton» and a whole range of other enterprises and organizations.
