On January 18, 2018 the reading room of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University hosted an inclusive dialogue of Gomel regional organization “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” to the point “Gomel region: past, present, future”.

Inclusive dialogues with the youth became an image event of the Youth Union. The youth is given an opportunity to discuss current issues with the representatives of government, institutions of culture, sport and health, to ask questions and get the relevant information.

The meeting was opened by Rector of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Sergei A. Khakhomov. He thanked the audience for kind attention to the University and Gomel region and expressed his hope for further cooperation.

An honoured guest of the meeting was the member of The Council of the Republic of Belarus of the sixth calling from Gomel region, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of Belarus on education, science, culture and social development, the first secretary of the Central committee “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” Andrei E. Belyakov.

Historical development and socio-economic conditions of Gomel region were discussed during the dialogue with the Head of the historic-regional natural department of the museum of Gomel palace and park ensemble Anna V. Kuzmich and the first vice-chairman of the committee of economy of Gomel regional executive committee Andrei P. Sobko.
