On May 19 delegation from French city Clermont-Ferrand (twin-city of Gomel) visited our University. The delegation members are the following: Government Executive of Clermont-Ferrand Mr. Olivier Bianchi, Deputy Government Executive Mr. Remi Tafani and Authorized Agent in development of international cooperation with regions of Belarus, the USA, Scotland, Germany Madame Helene Lucchesi. Mr. Olivier Bianchi visited Gomel for the first time in his position of Government Executive. The guests met with the administration staff members of our University. The delegation members were presented information about general and international activities of the University. In his turn Mr. Olivier Blanchie presented a proposition of University of Auvergne-Clermont 1 with which we have a signed Cooperation Agreement. Due to joint activities the French-Belarusian Institute of Management was established in our University (successfully functioned within 20 years). Economic School of Management of University of Auvergne-Clermont 1 is interested in establishment and further development of cooperation with GSU and offers participation in Master training project. The project offers education in 3 directions: two – in English, one – in French. Our administration staff members expressed interest in this offer which requires more thorough consideration. The correspondent conditions of study process will be presented to the all persons concerned. On the same day one more scientific delegation from Clermont-Ferrand met with the GSU administration staff members. The aim of their visit was discussion of cooperation issues in the sphere of Medicine. The delegation consisted of two members: developer in the sphere of international projects and partnership of University of Blaise Pascal Madame Sophie Rodier and Deputy Director of Anticancer Center named after Jean Perraine Mr. Benoit Nautre. Madame Rodier studied in Professionalize University Institute of Management (University of Auvergne-Clermont 1) and visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University many times. The French colleagues expressed their interest in continuing cooperation with our University, University of Auvergne-Clermont 1 and University of Blaise Pascal. The two mentioned French universities will be merged on January 1, 2017. Madame Rodier and Mr. Notre expressed an idea of joint participation of the leading University of Polesye and the French university in project dedicated to management in the sphere of public health service, ecology and environmental protection. This direction is a new one both for our University and the whole republic. The development of cooperation requires thorough preparation and participation of specialists from the Faculties of Economics, Physics, Biology, Geology and Geography and Physical Culture. Both meetings were held in atmosphere of friendship, both sides expressed interest in further development and strengthening of cooperation.
