On July, 4 delegation of Xuzhou Institute of Technology (PRC), a partner institute with which Francisk Skorina Gomel State University established close cooperation in the sphere of science, technology and culture, visited our University.

The Institute was represented by 6 delegation members: Vice President of Xuzhou Institute of Technology, professor Wang Dongdong, Dean of Arts School of Xuzhou Institute of Technology Liu Hongjun, Dean of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Xuzhou Institute of Technology Sun Jingfang, Vice Dean of Information and Electrical Engineering of Xuzhou Institute of Technology Han Chengchun, Director of Equipment Administration of Xuzhou Institute of Technology Liu Hongling and Vice Director of Academic Affairs of Xuzhou Institute of Technology Mo Shilei. Rector S.A. Khakhomov, Vice Rector for Research Activities O.M. Demidenko, professor A.V. Rogachev and Head of International Affairs Department A.P. Grahotsky represented our University.

At the beginning of the discussion S.A. Khakhomov told the guests about our University, implemented activities, international affairs and directions of cooperation with leading Chinese universities. А.V. Rogachev shared his impressions of visiting Xuzhou. In its turn Mrs. Wang Dongdong presented general information about ancient Xuzhou city – the second largest city in Jiangsu province and significant industrial and technological centre, as well as one the most beautiful cities in China – activities implemented in Xuzhou Institute of Technology, its international affairs and student`s life. The guests expressed their interest in development of cooperation in the sphere of Physics (especially Optics), mutual exchange of students and staff-members, as well as joint scientific publications.

At the end of the discussion the Chinese colleagues invited the administration staff-members of our University to visit Xuzhou Institute of Technology as well.

The meeting was organized in sociable and friendly atmosphere. The parties expressed mutual interest in in further strengthening of cooperation and expressed their hope for future development of new directions of cooperation.
