Erasmus+ programme: New opportunities for Belarus

Informational day dedicated to new Erasmus + call for proposals 2017 was held at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. 50 representatives of HEI, scientific institutions, state and public organizations of Gomel region and republic registered for the participation.

It is not coincidence that mainly GSU became the venue of the meeting: international programmes have been successfully implemented here for many years, the University has successful experience in cooperation with foreign universities.

Vice-rector for research affairs, Doctor of Techniques, professor O.M. Demidenko greeted the participants. Coordinator of Erasmus+ programme in Belarus N.I. Listopad was speaking about its goals and tasks, structure, directions pointing out that such aspects as mobility, cooperation for innovations and sharing best practices, support of system reforms are of the greatest priority for the programme. He admitted active participation of Belarusian universities, and Francisk Skorina Gomel State University as well, in the programme projects, invited all the concerned to submit the application within the framework of the new CBHE call which started on October 20, 2016.

In her report «Capacity building in higher education» representative of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA, Brussels) France Dantin presented selection criteria for participation, its financing, answered the questions.

Head of International Affairs Department A.P. Grahotsky shared GSU experience in implementation of international technical assistance projects.
