Scientists of European Universities are regular visitors of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. They come to Gomel to participate in international scientific conferences, giving lectures on relevant issues in science and techniques for students and teachers.

Doctor of Techniques, professor of the Faculty of Material Sciences and Technologies of Slovak University of Technology Alexander Chaus visited us as well. Close contacts of the GSU physicists with academicians of the above mentioned University situated in western part of Slovakia started to develop in 2012 when a cooperation agreement was signed. This agreement enables the academicians to participate in joint projects, assign PhD students to take internship in Slovakia, exchange research results dedicated to development of abrasive tool, various films for enhancement of materials wearing capacity.

Professor A. Chaus participated in international scientific conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of previously acting rector of GSU B.V. Bokut`, gave lectures for the 4th year students on theoretical principles of instrumental, speed steels. There was also a meeting with rector S.A. Khakhomov. During this business and friendly communication issues of further cooperation of Gomel and Slovak universities were discussed..
