The official delegation of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in Republic of Belarus visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University at the end of October. The delegation consisted of attache on science and industry in Moscow and Minsk Mr. Mahdi Galenovi, specialist of scientific-industrial department of Embassy of Iran Mr. Arash Durudi, specialist of department of technological cooperation of Embassy of Iran in Minsk, assistant of attache on science and industry madame Diana Bahshlidzhani.

At the meeting with the foreign delegation the rector of the University correspondent member of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexander Rogachev welcomed the guests, told them about the existing cooperation with Iranian researches, presented in details the information concerning the scientific resources of the leading university of Gomel region. Alexander Vladimirovich focused Mr. Mahdi Galenovi`s attention on the achievements of the staff members of the Faculty of Physics.

In his turn the attache on science and industry in Moscow and Minsk presented the Iranian Presidential Center on technological and innovation cooperation where the activities in various directions (from energy and biotechnology to industry and agriculture) are implemented.

«We are interested in investigating new technologies which could be applied to in Iran», - says Mr. Mahdi Galenovi. – «The purpose of our visit is also to assist Iranian researches to establish cooperation with Belarusian colleagues and to identify the reasonable direction of further development of cooperation with Francisk Skorina Gomel State University».

After the meeting with the University administration the representatives of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran in Belarus visited the scientific laboratories of the Faculty of Physics.

For Your references: Francisk Skorina Gomel State University has two cooperation agreements with the Universities of Islamic Republic of Iran:

-- Cooperation agreement with pedagogic university of Tarbiyat Modarres, Teheran (2011-2016);

-- Cooperation agreement with technological university of Isfahan (2011-2016).
