On October 16 the meeting dedicated to the implementation of ITEC programme in Republic of Belarus was held in the Embassy of Republic of India in Minsk. The abovementioned event also concerned the accession of new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of India in Republic of Belarus Mr. Pankadzh Saksena. Diplomatic officials, representatives of the Ministry of External Affairs of Republic of Belarus, as well as Belarusian specialists of different spheres and organizations (state and private) which had placement within the framework of ITEC programme attended this event. Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics had an opportunity to present a report on the international activities of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. In his presentation V.A.Bejzerov spoke about multi-vector nature of the international activities of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, its considerable fruitfulness and the implemented international projects (including the projects with Indian partners). He also paid particular attention to the perspectives of development and extension of ties with Indian organizations. During the meeting the issues of potential cooperation in the sphere of education and science between Belarusian and Indian universities were also discussed. It is necessary to mention that the cooperation of our Universities with Indian partners has increased significantly in the previous year. In 2014 the GSU staff members participated in several projects: ITEC programme (October 2014). In February, 2014 within the framework of bilateral cooperation the GSU scientific researchers candidate of Technical Sciences A.A.Rogachev and D.L.Gorbachev visited the Faculty of Physics of Hindustan College of Science and Technology (Farah) and some large scientific-research centers of Delhi. The visit was organized within the framework of joint Belarusian-Indian scientific-research project «Study of molecular structure, electrophysical and dielectric properties of nanocomposite layers and its application as gas sensors» (research supervisor – correspondent member of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, professor A.V. Rogachev). The visit resulted in the establishment of scientific ties and contacts with Indian partners. In their turn the staff members of Hindustan College of Science and Technology visited our University. In 2014 first vice-rector S.A. Khakhomov as a member of business delegation of Gomel region visited New Delhi where the achievements of our University were presented.
